Marc Fernandes is a graduate of The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Throughout his life, he has primarily spent his time singing, both competitively and for fun. However, Marc has also found passion in storytelling, acting and dance. Marc uses interactive theatre, especially Theatre of the Oppressed techniques, as a tool to explore issues of anti-oppression, cultural identity and social politics. He is a past member of The Heartsparkle Players, a Playback Theatre company in Olympia and was the director of a teen theatre troupe in Tacoma for Planned Parenthood of Western Washington. He has also performed and trained in Seattle, Oregon, Canada and Europe. Currently, Marc is working in the Bronx for The Children’s Aid Society as a sexuality educator and reproductive health counselor. Marc is extremely excited to be expecting his first child this coming March.
